Nick Healey Hike for Mental Health 2024

Since 2014, the Tau Beta chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon at Simon Fraser University has been organizing an annual hike in memory of Nicholas Healey, one of its founding fathers who faced mental health challenges. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about mental health issues and honor Healey’s legacy.

We extend our invitation to individuals, families, teams, community groups, and SFU student clubs to join us again this summer on Burnaby Mountain. The hike aims to support the Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver-Fraser, with funds directed towards programs benefiting children, youth, adults, and seniors in our community.

The route of the hike follows the Trans Canada Trail, starting from Dalla-Tina Avenue and winding its way to the summit of Burnaby Mountain, concluding at Richard Bolton Park.
